**********

Ed. Cameron died at the Colonial hospital at Rochester, Minn., Sunday evening. He underwent an operation there on Saturday, Jan. 26, and at first seemed to be getting along nicely, but later in the week pneumonia developed. On Sunday afternoon he had a bad coughing spell which caused all the stitches to break. It was necessary to give him an anesthetic from which he never rallied. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Methodist church.

Edwin C. Cameron, the only son of John H. and Sarah Cameron, was born at Ontario, Iowa, on June 12, 1875, and died at Rochester, Minn., on February 3, 1929.

With the exception of a short time spent in Minnesota, he has always made his home in or near Goldfield.

He was a sincere christian, a member of the Methodist church, having made his profession years ago in the Methodist church at Waterloo.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows' lodge at Goldfield and of the Masonic Order of Livermore.

He will be remembered by all as an honest, clean christian, pure in word and act.

He had been in poor health for many months and at last in company with his son, Paul, went to Rochester and submitted to an operation. The operation was successful and at first all seemed well, but complications set in and on the morning of February 3 he slipped quietly away.

His mother, Sarah E. Cameron, and one infant son, Verne, preceeded him in death. He leaves to mourn his loss his father, John H. Cameron; his wife, Mrs. Jessie Cameron; and nine children, Paul, and Donald, Dorothy, Lenard, Benjimin, Russell, John and Alan and their families, as well as three sisters, Mrs. Agatha Kelling of Ledyard; Mrs. Edith Jones and Mrs. Martha Campbell of Goldfield; besides a host of friends and acquaintances. To him we can only say. Rest in Peace—"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord for their works do follow them."

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. R. M. McCracken giving a comforting address. The Masonic and Odd Fellow lodges took part in the burial service at Glenwood cemetery.

**********

Mrs. C. H. Kelling, who came from Ledyard for the funeral of her brother, Ed Cameron, remained for a visit with her father and other relatives.
