Dennis Ray Rapp, the son of Dale Arthur and Pauline Evelyn (Folkerts) Rapp, was born April 25, 1945, in Algona, Iowa. He received his education in Renwick before serving in the Iowa National Guard.

On June 15, 1965, Dennis was united in marriage to Marilyn Johnson in Renwick. They lived in Renwick for 21 years, Clayton, New Mexico, for 10 years, and the Eagle Grove area for over 30 years.

Dennis most recently worked as a steel fabricator for Keifer Built in Kanawha for 10 years, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and playing cards.

Dennis passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his home in Eagle Grove at the age of 67 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Sue Rapp.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Rapp, of Eagle Grove; three children, Denise R. Rapp and Kevin R. Wagner of Eagle Grove, Deborah P. Knowles and husband, John, of Eagle Grove, and Dennis D. Rapp of Eagle Grove, nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Arlis Gimer and husband, Gene, of Lohrville, and Lois Thompson and husband, Roger, of Goldfield, brother, Wayne Rapp and wife, Mary, of Renwick, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 18, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Mike Agnew officiating.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove and Goldfield was in charge of arrangements.
