Kate Farnham Pratt
6 August 1871 ---- 22 May 1938

Mrs. Harry A. Pratt died at her home in this city Sunday after an illness of a year’s duration. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. J. R. Tumbleson in charge.

Obituary

Kate Farnham was born in Canisteo, New York August 6, 1871. Her mother died when she was seven years of age and from that time, she made her home with her aunt, Mrs. G. W. Struble at Sioux Rapids, Iowa. She was united in marriage with Harry A. Pratt, Oct. 22, 1891 and for the past 43 years the family has made its home in Eagle Grove.

She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, H. A. Pratt, a daughter, Miss Marian Pratt of Eagle Grove, two sons, Edward Pratt of Chicago, and Harry of Des Moines, and one granddaughter, Virgene Pratt of Chicago. All were present at the funeral except the granddaughter.

Mrs. Pratt's life was largely, devoted to her home, her children, and her garden. She was a great lover of flowers and took much pleasure in their culture.

Attending the funeral from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Durae, Mrs. O. Lee, Mrs. Blanche Cilley and Mrs. A. D. Tollakson of Sioux Rapids; William and C. Durae, and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Robinson of Des Moines.
