Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Minnie) Kruger, 88, were held from the Presbyterian Church in Dows Wednesday, November 22, 1978 with Rev. Judith Cook officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Dows.

She died Sunday, November 19, 1978 at the Belmond Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past year.

She was born April 13, 1890 in Sac City, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Melissa Deremo. She was raised and educated in Sac City and moved to Dows in 1908.

On January 30, 1909 she was united in marriage to Fred Kruger in Dows and they farmed until retiring and moving to town in 1955. In 1974 they moved to the Retirement Home in Belmond and then in 1977 to the Belmond Nursing Home. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Dows.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; one son, Charles of Alexander; one daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Hazel) Tutt of Aurora, Illinois; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters. The Willim Funeral Home in Dows had charge of the arrangements.
