J. B. Letchford of Kalamazoo, Mich., who came Friday to attend the funeral of his sister Mrs. J. L. Webster, remained for a visit with relatives.

Sarah Jane Letchford was born in La Porte Co., Ind., March 6, 1854. She came with her parents to Iowa the same year, where she has since resided. Thanksgiving day, 1873, she was married to John Lee Webster, who died in November, 1902. To this union were born three children, Thoams L. of Waukon, Wm. Henry of Garner, and Kelsie, who resided with his mother on the home farm in Frankville township, where she died June 3d, 1914, aged 60 years, 2 months and 27 days. One sister and four brothers survive her—Mrs. Betsy Bollman of Sheldon, J. B. Letchford of Kalamazoo, Mich., Landon of Frankville, Charles of Council Bluffs and George of Estherville, Iowa. Mrs. Webster was a member of the W. C. T. U. and was always faithful in attendance when possible. She was well respected by all who knew her and those who knew her intimately realized that she always offered a helping hand to any worthy cause. She was very patient in her extreme suffering and at the last manifested a calm willingness to depart and be with her Lord. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Centennial church, Rev. Mason officiating. Those from a distance present were Ben Letchford of Kalamazoo, Mich, George Letchford of Estherville, Thos. Webster and wife of Waukon, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McCusker, John and Randall Williams and wives, Bert Lennon and Mrs. joe Lennon, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Reed, of Decorah, Glenn Letchford of Strawberry Point, Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Kiln of Monona and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Topliff of Postville.
