Joseph Adams Dead.
Many Winneshiek residents of the older generation, but especially those of Frankville, will remember Josepuh{sic} Adams, who left here some years ago to reside in California. From a copy of the Pasadena Star of May 27th we clip the following notice of his death:--
Joseph Adams, 60 years old, a native of Wisconsin, died in Altadena yesterday. He is survived by two brothers, Robert and John Adams, who live in Nebraska, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Adams, of Altadena. He was a son of the late Rev. Joseph Adams of Frankville, Iowa. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon, with Rev. C. a Spaulding, pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian church, officiating, assisted by Re. W. E. Dodge, formerly pastor of the same church.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Port Townsend, WA. shows he was born Feb. 1854 and died May 28, 1914 which does not agree with the above.
