A number from this vicinity attended the funeral of Orval Hauge at Ossian Sunday.

Sunday at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church the funeral services of the remains of Orval Hauge were held. This young man had passed away Thursday evening after a short siege of illness due to Bright’s disease. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Hauge, having acquired the age of 17 years. He leaves to mourn a father and mother and one brother, besides sorrowing relatives, friends and schoolmates.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his name spelled Orville. He was born Sept. 4, 1897 and died Apr. 23, 1914. He is buried in the Hillside Cemetery.
