Mrs. T. Hauge, who was called here by the death of her father, S. O. Sheggrud, returned to Lanesboro yesterday.

OBITUARY.
S. O Sheggrud, an old and highly esteemed settled{sic} of Frankville township, died on Monday last at the home of his son Gus, southwest of Decorah, death being due to a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Sheggrud was a native of Norway where he was born Sept. 22, 1838. He came to America with his parents at the age of eleven years and with them became one of the very early settlers of Frankville township. His marriage occurred soon after he attained his majority. Mrs. Sheggrud died three years ago. He is survived by nine children: Oliver and Mrs. Ole Walby of Frankville, Mrs. O. Shefflo of Hoffman, Minn., Mrs. Henry Leikvold and Mrs. Edward Haugen of Sioux Rapids, Mrs. T. O. Hauge of Lanesboro, and Gus and Julius of Decorah. The funeral was held Monday at the Springfield United Lutheran church, Rev. Fjelde of Waukon officiating.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he died Apr. 17, 1914. He is buried in the North Washington Prairie Pioneer Cemetery.
