OBITUARY.

THOMAS E. DONLAN.
Thomas E. Donlan, a well known resident of Bluffton township, who came to Decorah to reside about a month ago, passed away at 8:30 p. m., Jan. 1st after an illness of more than a year’s duration. The funeral was held Saturday last at St. Benedict’s church Father Mullen officiating, and interment was made in Bluffton cemetery.
Mr. Donlan was born in Union Grove, Wis., May 27, 1859, and came to Winneshiek county with his parents in 1865. He was married to Mary J. McConnell on January 25, 1887, who bore him four children, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Wm. Lynch, Edward, Anna and Bea Donlan. Mr. Donlan’s mother, four sisters and four brothers also survive. His wife died a year or more ago. During his life time he enjoyed the friendship of many acquaintances and in his death his family have much sympathy.
