Mrs. Louis Nehring Dead.
About six o’clock yesterday morning, February 28th, Mrs. Louis Nehring passed away at her home at the corner of Vernon street and Maple avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Nehring have lived in Decorah about a year, coming here from Sumner where they had previously lived for a number of years. Mrs. Nehring has not been in good health any of the time since coming here and we are unable to learn at this writing the cause of her death. She was a native of the province of Posen, Germany, where she was born in October 1842. She was married in Germany and came to America in 1870. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Henry Potratz. During their short residence in Decorah, Mr. and Mrs. Nehring have formed a number of acquaintances and friendships and in their bereavement Mr. Nehring and Mrs. Potratz have the sympathy of all. The funeral will be held Monday next, Rev. Henry Bredow of the German church of Sumner officiating.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Theresia Emelie. She is buried in Phelps Cemetery.
