Mrs. R. Reid has a card from Mrs. Rust, written on the 8th, saying that Mrs. Pike is now completely prostrated and requires an additional waiter to help lift her and otherwise care for her.
Later—Word has just come of Mrs. Pike’s death on the 12th inst. The body has been embalmed and placed in a vault to remain until later when it will be brought to Hesper for burial.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Sarah who was born in 1834 and is buried in the Hesper Public Cemetery.
