Death of a Yung Girl.
Ruth Barker died at Freeport Monday last after a long illness from tuberculosis. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon, the services being conducted by Dr. Willett at the Freeport Methodist church. The funeral of Ruth Barker was held in the church in this place Wednesday of last week, Dr. Willett of Decorah officiating.

Miss Cora Dickinson came over from Postville to attend the funeral of Ruth Barker, returning Wednesday evening to resume school duties on Thursday.- -
Those away from Freeport who attended the funeral of Ruth Barker last Wednesday were Hans Erickson and son Harry, Ed. and Fred Iverson of Springwater, G. A. Meyer of Calmar, Mrs. Mott, Mrs. Wohlford, Claire and Vern McKinney, Alex. Grinna and Harry Conover of Decorah.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born Dec. 30, 1895 and died Jan. 22, 1912. She is buried in the Russell Cemetery.
