At the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. Graff at Calmar, Mr. William Kapinos passed away to the unknown world Jan. 8th, 1912. His remains were brought over to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Kapinos Tuesday. Although his death was expected his health failing for a long while, still there was not a soul who did not receive the news with sorrow, pitying the early death of our friend. He was born in Spillville, Iowa, his age being 24 years, 7 months and 8 days at the time of his death. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at the St. Wenceslaus church. The pall bearers were John Fisher, Rudolf Tuchek, John Kovarik, James Balik, Joe Brom and Frank Poshusta. He leaves to mourn his death his brothers Frank and Ed, who live in Spillville, sisters Mrs. Heggie of Chicago, Mrs. Hutchinson of Elgin, Iowa, Mrs. Mat. Graff of Calmar and Celia Kapinos. Rest in the bosom of God till the brief sleep of death is over, and a happier life shall dawn to waken thine insensible dust.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1887 and died Jan 9, 1912 which does not agree with the above. His gravestone shows he died in 1911.
