The Death of Ralph Elwick.
On Monday last, at the home of his parents in Hazelton, occurred the death of Ralph Elwick, oldest son of Rev. and Mrs. T. J. Elwick. Just what caused his death could not be determined. For a few days symptoms indicating typhoid fever were manifest and previous to that his heart and kidneys had not been in a normal condition and he suffered from rheumatism. Sunday he became delirious and lapsed into unconsciousness from which he never rallied. The funeral was held at the home yesterday afternoon and the remains will be brought to Decorah to-day and placed in the receiving vault at the Phelps cemetery. Ralph was a promising boy of 18 years and his early death will leave a vacancy in the family circle that can never be filled. In their bereavement his parents have the sympathy of many friends in Decorah.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Oct. 28, 1896 and died Jan. 15, 1912.
