Mary,

I cannot find a major flood for Ottumwa in 1907 in any of the history books that I have. That, of course, does not mean that one did not occur. I think Ottumwa had floods quite frequently until about 1950 when the current levee system was constructed. The major floods that I can find occurred in 1851, 1903, and 1947.
