There is the following that I can find:

Amanda Jane Doughty married William F. Knox on 15 Nov 1846 in Wapello county.

There is a William Knox buried in Shaul cemetery, Ottumwa. He died 4 Nov 1883 at age 77.

According to WPA records there is an Amanda J. Knox buried in Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, Jefferson County, Iowa. She died 22 July 1880 at age 55. She is listed as the wife of W.D. Knox. There is no William listed.

The WPA records also list a Sarah L. Knox, wife of W.W. Knox. She was born 1848 died 23 Dec 1887 and is also buried in Abingdon cemetery.

There are several Doughty family members listed in the Jefferson county WPA records.
