OTTUMWA DAILY COURIER SEP 11, 1903

Lydia Howells filed a petition for divorce from her husband Edward J. Howells;alias Edward J. Leipham late yesterday afternoon in circuit court. The plaintiff gives habitual druckeness and desertion as the grounds for divorce. She asks for the custody of their minor child and to have her maiden name restored to Lydia Williams.
