Death information indicates that Aaron Parks was born on 28 Nov 1826 and died on 1 Jan 1898. His wife, Margaret, died on 7 Dec 1876 aged 43y 4m 27d. Both are buried in Ashland Cemetery.

I checked for an obit for Aaron and there are two, The first is in the Ottumwa Daily Courier dated 13 Jan 1898, pg 1, col 4, The second is in the Ottumwa Daily Courier on 19 Jan 1898, pg 5, col 2. The unfortunate thing is that the microfilm for January is not at the library. The Genealogical Society may have a copy, but I won't be able to check for a couple of weeks.
