I do not find anything on Lillian Sperry in the records of Wapello county. However, it looks as though it was Charles Sperry who died. Wapello county WPA records show an entry for Charles W. Sperry (1869 -1912) buried in the Eldon cemetery. There is no entry for Lillian. It would be possible that after his death she remarried - she would have only been 39 - and that the children were only temporarily residing with their grandparents.
