I know the genealogical office in the courthouse can be pretty busy. Maybe you should just call them. They have people who can look it up for you and send you a copy. The public is welcome to search the files in person if they wish but, you must call a head of time to make sure that the office is available to the public for search. The office isn't open to the public full time.

In my naturalization records for Wapello County Iowa, I have CONRAD BURCK as being naturalized February 03, 1886. He was born in Bavaria.
