Mary Cooper was the daughter of Millie and Solomon George. Stephen was her brother. Solomon and Millie George are in Cooper Cemetery in Wapello County, Iowa. Stephen and his family went to Oregon in 1863 with Mary and Thomas Cooper to join Thomas's brother who was on one of the first wagon trains to Oregon. They both rest in the Hopewell cemetery in Hopewell, Oregon
