1910 Mahaska Co. Iowa census, Cedar Dist. 0064 lists Otis H. Tennis, age 27 married 1 time for 4 yrs., (b) IA, par (b) PA and OH, Farmer, wife Lulu, age 22 married 4 yrs. no children, (b) Illinois.

Have you checked Mahaska County IA 1911-1912 newspapers for possible news items about the adoption, either under name Lanpa or Tennis. Possibly a death of a parent or a divorce.

Presume you know "Glades" Tennis age 9 was with H O. Tennis and wife "Lulla" on 1920 Watonwan, Minnesota census, Antrim Dist 212. Also sister, Norma age 11 mos.

You might want to check Wills or Estate Settlements for both "Harvey Otis" and "Otis Harvey" Tennis to see if he mentions Gladys.

Also check death or divorce records for Lanpa, or civil court records for any reason.
