Michael Whalen the actor 1902~1974

WHALEN, WHELAN, SHOVLIN, LANIGAN

I am looking for info on Michael Whalen who was born per say as Joseph Shovlin in PA and died in Hollywood in 1974. My dad James Lanigan always told us that we were cousins to this Michael Whalen and every time Michael came to Ottumwa to visit his Whalen family; the city of Ottumwa would have a big parade. Does anybody remember any of this? There most likely would be a write up in the paper for his visits. 1930~1974
