SUBJECT #2: Gertrude SCHWARTZ/SWARTZ (nee?), w/o Odess David MARTIN, mother of subject 3 &4
SUBJECT #3: Donald Edwin MARTIN, b 27 July 1914, Ottumwa, Wapello, Iowa (He is my father)
SUBJECT #4: Harry M MARTIN, b 1917(?), ?

REFS: 1941 Probate settling the estate of John and Margaret SCHWARTZ, Ottumwa, Wapello, Iowa, listing Donald and Harry MARTIN as having interest in same, Carl SCHWARTZ, Administrator.
Graduates of Lyons High School "Where are they now?" showing 1912 graduate Gertrude BRIGGS, as Mrs. Edw. SCHWARTZ of Lucas SD (no such place).

Queries: Is Gertrude BRIGGS SCHWARTZ the mother of Donald and Harry? Could you please verify the birth of Donald Edwin MARTIN on 27 July 1914?

I have run into the proverbial brick wall. I can find absolutely nothing to substantiate my father's ancestry as shown above. I know we have some MYERS (Earl, Sadie, Irene, Gert) relatives, and the known close MARTIN relatives are Eugene, Norman, Joe, Joey (jr), George, Bruce, Bryan/Brian and Gwen. I was told that my paternal grandmother was a SCHWARTZ, but now I am not so sure that is accurate. Can anyone out there help?
