OTTUMWA - Helen L. Bown, 76, formerly of 214 E. Wilson, died at 11:25 p.m. July 5, 2004, at Ottumwa Manor.
She was born Dec. 23, 1927 in Indianola to Ellis James and Grace Florence Mitchell Brown.
A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she had worked for the Vernon Lowenberg family.
Survivors include two sister, Irene Woosey of San Diego, Calif. and Inez Wallace of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Mack, Marvin, LeRoy, Merle and Leonard Brown; and two sisters, Lois Hadden and Wilma Loving.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society.
