Walter E. Clark, 70, of rural Stockport, died at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1990 at University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Born Feb. 3, 1920, in Pender, Neb., he was the son of Marion Clark and Maude Peabody Clark. He married Leona B. Price March 31, 196, in Fort Madison.
He was an engineer with the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of Santa Fe United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Claypool Lodge No. 13 AF&AM.
Surviving are his wife; a stepson, Tippy L. Gates, Kansas City, Kans.; two daughters, Patricia L. Chaffin, Grand Junction, Colo., and Linda D. Thornton, Lakewood, Colo.; a sister, Elsie M. Alderson, Keosauqua; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The service for Mr. Clark was held Saturday, Oct. 27, 1990 at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barr Memorial Chapel, Ft. Madison, with Rev. Robert Ruppert, officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.
