Samuel b. Braden, 76, formerly of Davenport, died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, October 30, 1989 at Burlington Medical Center where he had been for about three weeks.
Mr. Braden was born February 6, 1913 at Davenport. He spent most of his life in Davenport. He spent most of his life in Davenport. He was a federal employee for 30 years, having worked at the Rock Island Arsenal. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Davenport. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was also a member of the American Legion.
On June 22, 1958 at Davenport, he married Cora Irene Palmer, who was originally from Farmington. She died January 18, 1988.
Surviving are six nephews and two nieces.
His parents were Samuel B. and Anna Popp Braden.
Services were held Thursday, November 2, 1989 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Reverend Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial was in Croton Cemetery.
