Eugene Bauter

The graveside service for Eugene E. Bauter, 82, 1254 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, Ky., formerly of Farmington and Fairfield, who died at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1989, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 1989 at Sharon Cemetery northeast of Bonaparte with the Rev. Lee Gamblin officiating. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.

Bauter was born March 4, 1907, in Henry, Ill., the son of Roy and Lillian Haynes Bauter. He married Helen M. Smith Oct. 21, 1933. She died April 10, 1965.

He owned and operated the Ranch Drive-In in Fairfield from 1948 to 1958. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Lexington.

Surviving are a son, Richard of Nicholasville, Ky.; a daughter, Caroline Jackson of Lexington and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were in charge of Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, Iowa.
