Emmett Morrow

Emmett Ray Morrow, 99, of Douds died Saturday, April 8, 1989 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

He was born August 8, 1889, in Douds to George W. and Redilla Sampson Morrow. A resident of Douds and Fairfield communities most of his life, he was a farmer and self-employed carpenter. He married Ellen May Wolf on Nov. 26, 1913, in Keosauqua; she died May 30, 1958.

He is survived by a son, Ralph W. of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren; a brother, George A. of Fullerton, Calif.; and a sister, Elizabeth Parsons of Gladbrook, also eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Leo.

The service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 112, 1989 at Behner Funeral Home. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, north of Douds.

A memorial was established to the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center.
