Ella Mae White

Ella Mae White, 81, died May 22, 1989, at the Scotland County Hospital, Memphis, Mo.

Ella Mae Kinney White was born November 16, 1907, in Jackson Township of Van Buren County, the daughter of Jesse Omer and Zenith Haines Kinney, and lived in the Milton area.

She was united in marriage to Sam White on July 30, 1927. They moved to Kankakee, Ill., where the family resided until 1942. In 1942, the family moved to Milton where her husband worked for the lumber husband worked for the lumber yard until he retired in 1971.

Ella was a long-time member of the Milton Christian Church and the church's Christian Church and the church's Christian women's fellowship.

She had resided at the Scotland County Nursing home for the past four and one-half years.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband Sam, on Dec. 30, 1986 and by her parents, one brother, Homer and one sister, Ethel.

Survivors include: three children, Roy Lee White and his wife (Norma), of (Bourbonnais, ??), Betty White Harwig and husband Ray of Lodi, California and Donald Eugene White and wife, Rosemary of Kankakee, Illinois, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Pauline Stehr, of Kankakee, Ill.

She was buried in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.
