Mildred R. Jones, daughter of Clay and Millie Ware Rime, was born July 15, 1893 in Davis County and died Thursday morning, April 7, 1988 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua at the age of 94.
She lived most of her life in Davis County retired to Selma where she lived for several years, moved to Eldon in 1976 and to the Good Samaritan Center in 1983. at an early age she gave her heart to Gode of Sherman Chapel in Davis County.
She married Allen P. Jones, February 12, 1913 in Davis County. He died in 1956. Three grandchildren and a brother, Everett Rime, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Mildred Michael, Selma, Madeline McMillen, Umatilla, Oregon and Mary Lee Pool, Runnells, and two sons, Paul of LaCrescent, Minnesota and John of Marshalltown. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 11, 1988 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, with Reverend Gerald Caughron officiating. Interment was in Floris Cemetery. A memorial was established.
