Hollis (Pete) Plowman

Hollis (Pete) Plowman, 74, Argyle, died at 8:19 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 1988 at the Burlington Medical Center.

Mr. Plowman was born Jan. 3, 1914, at Kilbourne, Iowa. He had lived at Argyle for 50 years. He was a farmer and a school bus driver for 30 years. He also was a Farmers Co-op director and seed corn dealer.

On Jan. 8, 1938 at Kilbourne, he married Ruth Gates, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Dale Plowman, Argyle; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Vivian) Jager, Eddyville; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. His parents were Luther and Jessie Poole Plowman.

The body was at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson where services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 1988. The Dr. Gary Leazer officiated. Burial was in the Evangelical Cemetery, Donnellson.
