Ethel M. Strait

Ethel M. Strait, daughter of David and Elizabeth Else Craig, was born May 2, 1907 near Mt. Sterling and died the morning of Thursday, Feb. 18, 1988 in Scotland County Nursing Home, Memphis, Mo. at the age of 80.

She had been married to Bruce Strait.

Surviving are a son, Stanley Strait and his wife, Juanita of Keosauqua, five granddaughters, Davena McKim and husband Tom, Debra Clarahan and husband, Dan, and Dawn Ve, DiAnna, and Dena Strait, a great grandson, Matthew Clarahan, a great granddaughter, Stefanie McKim, other relatives and friends. Her parents, an infant daughter, Darlene, a brother, Stanley Craig and a half-sister, Anna McIntosh preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 20, 1988 at 10 a.m. in the Keosauqua Christian Church with Rev. Bob Patterson officiating. Interment was in Pittsburg Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home. A memorial was established for the Pittsburg Cemetery.
