James V. Donahue

James V. Donahue, 55, Fort Madison, died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 1988 at Fort Madison Community Hospital. He had been in failing health one year and seriously ill three weeks.

A long-time Fort Madison resident, Mr. Donahue was born November 20, 1932 at Clinton, Iowa. He worked for Midwest Packaging Materials Co. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

On November 13, 1970 at Carthage, Illinois he married Susan Wenke, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kristina and Sandra, both at home; and eight sisters, Mrs. John (Billie) Farrell, Fort Madison, Mrs. Harlan (Eileen) Hess, DeWitt, Mrs. Rocky (Ann) Dall and Mrs. Warren (Dorothy) Aldridge, both of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Wayne (Betty) Kimball, Burrton, Kansas, Mrs. John (Nancy) Simeonides, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Rose Mary Sanders and Mrs. Marcella Mire, both of St. Amont, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by a brother. His parents were Vincent and Josephine Humphrey Donahue.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, February 2, 1988 at Sacred Heart Church. The Reverend Mark Spring officiated.

King-Lynk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The body will be cremated later.
