Areda Leone Hamlin Long, 76, of Norwalk, Iowa died on Feb. 7, 1988 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
She had been ill with cancer for about five months.
She was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa on Oct. 25, 1911.
Survivors include one son, Roy Gentry, Cumming, Iowa, one daughter, Elizabeth Mineart of Norwalk, one sister Barbara Fors of Des Moines, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Feb. 10 at Norwalk United Methodist Church. Burial was at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
