John Sizemore

John Sizemore, 85, of Mount Pleasant, died at 1:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Henry County Health Center, Mount Plesant.

He was born July 6, 1901, in Little Rock, Ark., the son of Austin and Anna Grimes Sizemore. He was married on March 6, 1928, in Mount Pleasant to Allie Willey.

He was retired from the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy railroad.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, John Sizemore, of Moline, Ill., and Robert of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Mrs. Awilda Dais, of Ollie, Iowa, and Mrs. Annabelle Bonser, of Hillsboro, Iowa; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

There will visitation all day Sunday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hillsboro Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Matthews officiating.
