Carolyn Brotherton

Carolyn Sue Brotherton, 47, of Milton, died Thursday, November 5, 1987 at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Born October 22, 1940, in Cantril to Eugene and Willa Cantril Magorian, she married Paul Brotherton on June 25, 1981, in Pekin. He died on September 23, 1985, in Pekin.

Surviving are her parents of Milton; four stepsons, Robert Brotherton, Cape Girardeau, Mo., Paul Brotherton, Parsons, Kansas, and Roger and Daryl Brotherton, Pekin; three step-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Bell, Moline; and one brother, Luis Magorian, Ashland, Mass.

She worked for 10 years as a clerk at Maurie's Candy Store in Pekin. She belonged to a Baptist church there.

Services were Thursday at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin, the Rev. Ed Pool officiating. Burial was in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
