THOMAS R. PROENNEKE

Thomas R. Proenneke, Route 2, Ponca City, Oklahoma died Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 1986 at his home. He was 76.

He was the son of Charles and Minnie Proenneke. He was born October 8, 1910 at Primrose, Iowa. He received his education in Primrose School.

He and Elizabeth Allison were married May 23, 1937 at Farmington, Iowa. The couple moved to Ponca City the same year and resided there since.

He worked for Kellogg Construction Company and joined Conoco Oil Company in 1939. He worked there until 1962. He was a dairy farmer for 35 years and owned and operated Proenneke Arabian Stables for the past 15 years.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth of the home; one son, Charles of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Normae Alice Daugherty of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Sharyn Elaine Morris of Clearwater, Kansas; one brother, Ford Proenneke of Farmington; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 1986 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dawn Richards, associate pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Van House, pastor of the First Unted Methodist Church. Interment was in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

A memorial has been established for Hospice, P.O. Box 2525, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74602.
