Eloise Van Klavern

Eloise Mudge Van Klavern, 69, of Oak Lawn, Ill., died Oct. 16, 1987, at St. Joseph, Mich.

She was born Apirl(err) 10, 1918, in Ottumwa to George and Esther McElroy Mudge. She graduated from Ottumwa High School and Iowa Success School. She was employed by the Defense Department in Washington, D.C., and was a realtor in Oak Lawn, Ill. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Oak Lawn, Ill., and Daughters of the American Revolution. She married Verlin E. Van Klavern Nov. 6, 1943, in Washington, D.C.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Janet Van Klavern of Oak Lawn, Ill., and Susan Cain of Bloomington, Ill.; a grandson; and two sisters, Martha Engle of Southgate, Mich...., and Evelyn Madden of Keosauqua.

The service was Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1987 at First United Methodist Church in Oak Lawn, Ill.

Memorials have been established to her church and may be sent to Edgar Funeral Home, 10900 S. Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn, Ill., 60453.
