Velma Eileen Kaiser

Velma Eileen Kaiser, 52, of Yale, Iowa died November 17, 1987 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines. She was the daughter of Homer H. and Lillie Lawrence Hunter and was born in Milton, Iowa on November 21, 1934.

On August 30, 1952 she married Craig W. Kaiser at Lancaster, Missouri. They lived in various areas where Craig served as Conservation Officer. He survives.

Velma was a member of the Church of Christ at Bagley, Iowa. She had been baptized in the Lutheran Church at Gladbook, Iowa and had been a member of the Lutheran Church at Coon Rapids, Iowa and later the Church of Christ in Yale. She served as Cub Scout Den Mother from 1960-1977 while her six boys were in Scouts.

She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

Survivors also include her six sons, Steven of Woodward, Michael of Bagley, Ross of Giebelstadt, Germany, Bill of Yale, Roger of Yale and Paul, at home; one daughter, Carla Wood of Panora; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Harry Hunter of Milton; four sisters, Opal Armstrong of Farmington, Anna May Gipson of Mt. Ayr, Hazel Boyd of Milton and Wanda Nance of Libertyville, Missouri.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 20, 1987 at the Church of Christ at Bagley. Interment was in Moffitt Grove Cemetery, Guthrie County, Iowa.
