JEAN SUMMERS

Jean E. Summers, 67, of Topeka, Kan., died May 17, 1989 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.

She was born Nov. 26, 1921, near Ottumwa to Charles F. and Hazel E. Parr Brady. She grew up in Milton and graduated from Milton High School in 1939. She attended a business college in Des Moines. She lived in Gurnee, Ill., prior to moving to Topeka in 1971. She was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church and Agape Circle at the church in Topeka. She married Dwight M. Summers in 1946 in Milton. He died March 3, 1984.

She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Gudzinas of Chicago; her mother of Topeka; and a granddaughter.

The service was held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 19, 1989 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Topeka. Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.
