Virgie Summers

Virgie Summers, the daughter of Alma Yeager and W.M. Summers was born August 28, 1985, in Scotland County, Missouri. She died November 15, 1985 in Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny Iowa at the age of 90.

December 21, 1917 she married Sam Summers in New London, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1959. To this union two daughters, Eileen and Virginia, were born.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She lived, for the most part, her life in Milton and Ottumwa, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Frank and John. Survivors are daughters; Eileen (Mrs. George) Cochran of Apache Junction, Arizona; Virginia (Mrs. Don) Thompson, of Mesa, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, Terry Cochran of Huxley, Iowa; Robert Thompson of Chicago, Illinois; Hedy Patterson of Ottumwa, Iowa, Scott Thompson of Ankeny, Iowa and 8 great grandchildren.
