Hulda Stookesberry

Hulda Jane Stookesberry, 88, died at 6:40 a.m. Friday at the Bloomfield Manor.

A homemaker, she was born March 7, 1893 in Cantril to John and Nan B. McHenry Warning. She was a resident of Davis County for 70 years. She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church and the Christian Women's Fellowship.

She married Franklin Palmer Stookesberry on Jan. 11, 1911 in Davis County. He died in 1955.

Survivors include four sons, Harold of Sedalia, Colo., Clarke of Milton, Don of Ottumwa and Richard of Cody, Wyo.; four daughters, Agnes Shoesmith of Guthrie Center, Estalene Lunsford of Milton, Wanda Dabney of Washington and Edith Van Landingham of Buckeye, Ariz.; one sister, Berniece Keller of Fairfield; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Wagler Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Don Slaughter. Burial was in the Inskeep Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church.
