Edith Roberts

MILTON - Former Milton resident Edith R. Roberts, 69, of Bellevue died June 27, 1993, at Finley Hospital in Dubuque.

She was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Milton to Marion and Luella Johnson Harman. She married Ralph E. Roberts on Sept. 26, 1941, in Kirksville, Mo.

They lived in Milton before moving to Bellevue. She had been the Bellevue Public Librarian for 16 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue and PEO.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Buzz of Dubuque; a daughter, Rebecca Hale of Ridgefield, Wash.; four grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Beggs of Bloomfield; and a brother, Marion Harman of Ontario, Calif.

The service will be 11 a.m. today of Kingery-Gallagher Funeral Home in Bellevue, the Rev. Gwyn Osuch officiating. Burial will be in Presbyterian Cemetery in Bellvue.

Memorials may be made to PEO Scholarship Fund.
