JOSEPH B. ROBINSON

Joseph Bence Robinson, son of Nelson and Edith Eggleston Robinson, was born August 6, 1895 at the farm home south of Cantril, where he made his home since 1939 until his sudden death there on December 19, 1971. His age at time of death was 76 years, 4 months and 13 days.

On November 29, 1916, he was united in marriage to Thelma Shipley at Pelican Rapids, Minn. Their early married life was spent in Iowa, Minnesota and Mississippi. Since 1939, they had resided on the farm where he was born. To this union three children were born, a daughter, Iona, and two sons, Ward and Douglas.

Mr. Robinson was a member of the Cantril United Methodist Church.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents; a sister, Lona; a brother, Dee; and a daughter, Iona Lathrop, who died last year.

Those who survived are his wife, Thelma; two sons, and daughters-in-law, Ward and Edna Mae of Cantril and Douglas and Edna Mae of Arbela, Mo.; a son-in-law, Earl Lathrop of Shawnee Mission, Kans.; seven grandchildren, Linda Ferris of Shawnee Mission, Kans., Larry Lathrop of Wichita Falls, Texas, Shanon Baker of Greentop, Mo., Dennis Robinson of Cantril, Scott and Ann Robinson of Arbela, and two step-grandchildren, Joe Forrester of Columbia, Mo. and Sue Gino of Littleton, Colo.; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Haskinson of Cantril and Cristel Robinson of Memphis, Mo.; as well as a number of other relatives and friends.
