WALLACE M. ROBERTSON

Wallace M. Robertson, 94, of Cantril died at 6:05 a.m. Monday, May 10, 1993 at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua.

He was born November 27, 1898 in Scotland County, Missouri south of Cantril to Charles H. and Almeda Watson Robertson. He married Maude E. Locke in 1922. She died Feb. 15, 1950. He married Veneta Findley in 1964. She died June 28, 1991.

He farmed most of his life in the Douds, Lebanon and Libertyville areas until moving to Cantril where he was school custodian until he retired.

He had resided at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua, since March, 1989. He was a member of Cantril Christian Church.

Surviving are a son, Larry and his wife, Nancy, Lewisville, Tx, 8 grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Ann Robertson, Garland, Tx and Marilyn Robertson, Cantril, a step-son, Lester Findley and his wife, Patricia, Milton, a step-daughter Nadine Trachsel and her husband, Russell, Milton, 7 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.

Also surviving are 3 sisters, Arta Peel, Cantril and Helen Walton and Cleda Perkovich, both of Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Rex L. Robertson, Cantril and Dale Robertson, Garland, Tex, 2 brothers, O.D. "Major" and Pat and 3 sisters, Olive Kaiser, Georgia Owen and Edith Hull.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 13, 1993 at 10:30 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.
