BURON J. OVERSTREET

Burton J. Overstreet, son of C. LaVerne and Frances Rankin Overstreet was born January 16, 1951 in Fairfield and departed this life the afternoon of Tuesday, August 29, 1989 in a tractor accident on his farm southwest of Cantril. Burong graduated from Fox Valley High School, Iowa State University at Ames, and spent most of his adult life farming near Cantril. He had lived a few years at New Sharon.

Surviving are his mother of Route 1, Cantril with whom he lived, four brothers, Rex, Stockport; Ronald, Leon; Eugene, Bonaparte; and Byron, Arlington, Texas; a sister, Dolores Hannam, Newport Beach, California, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. His father and a sister, Donna Augspurger, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 1, 1989 at 10:30 A.M. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. A memorial was established.
