LOURENA DELKER

Lourena Delker, 82, of Farmington died Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 12:20 p.m. in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

Born January 14, 1898 at Mystic, she was the daughter of Albert and Berlin Clements Evans.

She married Ben Delker on January 1, 1917 at Ottumwa. He preceded her in death.

She spent most of her life in the Farmington area.

Surviving are two sons, Stanley Delker of Farmington adn Melvin Delker of Chesapeake, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Evelyn) White of Farmington; two brothers, Ernest Evans of Farmington and Albert Evans of Bonaparte; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two grandsons and one great-grandson.

The funeral service was held Saturday, January 19, at 10:30 a.m. in the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery.
