OBITUARY

Ernest Joseph Mannel was born on December 1, 1908 at Beaman, Iowa; the son of Julius & Frances (Schrafel) Mannel. Ernest was raised in the Buckingham/Geneseo community and attended country school east of Buckingham. Following his education Ernest began farming with his parents in the Geneseo area.

On June 14, 1939 Ernesl was united in marriage to Blanche Yusko and they farmed together in the Buckingham Township. In 1978 Emest and Blanche retired and moved to the community of Traer. Emest and Blanche enjoyed traveling together and following his retirement enjoyed fishing with his buddies; Ellsworth and Rollie.

He also was always there to lend a hand to his daughters and grandchildren, Recenly Ernest's health has failed and he became a patient al the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, where his death came on Thursday morning February 8, 1996 at the age of 87 years.

He is survived by his wife; Blanche, 2 daughters; Marlene Beenken of Traer, Doris Williams of Hudson, 1 sister, Helen (Elmer) Reimer of LaPorte City, 3 grandchildren; Linda (Brent) Michel of Marshalltown, Valerie (Bryan) Hoeg of Garrison, Jerald (Melissa) Williams of Hudson, and 2 nieces; Betty (Lee) Jesse of LaPorte City, Donna (Willie) Maas of Blairstown.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother; Carl.

Following the service family and friends are Inviled to attend the luncheon at the Memorial Building,
