OBITUARY

Georgia Fern Hall was born near Elberon, Iowa, on June 26, 1911, the daughter of Delpha and Grace (Winters) Dobson. Georgia graduated from Eberon High School and then married Glenn Hall on Feb. 7, 1943 at Toledo, Iowa. Georgia and Glenn made their home in the Traer community most of their married life. Georgia was an accomplished cook and was head cook at the Traer Convalescent Home for many years and later for the Robert's Care Center at Waterloo.

Following Glenn's death on Nov. 23, 1959, Georgia continued to make her home in Traer.

In free moments she enjoyed making doll clothes as well as baking and making cakes for special events for many community families. Georgia also enjoyed her family and grandchildren and when able was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the United Methodist Church and Church Circle.

Because of failing health, Georgia had become a resident of Sunrise Hill Care Center and her death came there on Saturday, July 5, 1997 at the age of 86 years.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, two brothers, Garold and Wendell Dobson, and five sisters, Ruby McConnell, Dorothy Dobson, Evelyn Foley, Ruth Routier, and Ethel Hindershoot. She is survived by her two sons, William of Dysart and Delbert of Waterloo, one sister Maureeen McConnell of Traer and three grandchildren.

Following the service, facily and friends are invited to attend the luncheon at the church fellowship hall.
